Before and After: Through the Eyes of a Professional Hockey Player

I recently got the chance to come back to Cedar Park to shoot more photos of the Texas Stars. If you remember a few months back, I posted these Behind The Scenes photos. This time is a little different take on that, but still has a “Behind The Scenes” feel to it.

I got to Cedar Park about 3:45 pm to get setup because the players start showing up about 4:30 pm for the 7 pm puck drop. I photographed each player as they walked in and then we moved the whole setup closer to the ice for the post-game photo. I knew I wanted to make it quick and easy for them, so I only took about 10 photos of each player. They stood in front of my camera for maybe 8-10 seconds and then were on their way to get ready for the game. The Texas Stars ended up beating the Lake Erie Monsters 4-0 at this game with Matt Fraser scoring twice and Mike Hedden and Luke Gazdic each adding a goal and an assist.

Amazing: Some are SO different and some have EXACTLY the same expression. In both cases, interesting shooting.

  4. Gavvie says:

Wow. They all look so professional before and after some of them look happy since they won 4-0 then. Very sweaty though hahaha.

  5. I loved this! I dig the style of the photography like a model’s headshot or something. Kind of has a glamorous feel that really accentuates their features… or they all just have really strong features anyway :) love the juxtaposition of the two.
